Olivia & Joseph had the most lovely wedding day this past weekend! This couple is so near and dear to me. Olivia is my youngest sister, and it was a little surreal photographing her wedding. It was such a gorgeous day and there were so many sweet details throughout. Olivia chose to wear our Mother’s dress, with some alterations. Our oldest sister Erika also wore, Mom’s dress and it was so neat to see this beautiful dress used once again. Joe made the ring box for when he proposed, and I loved having it for the detail photos! Seriously it’s amazing! I was floored! Joseph also has a family sword that they incorporated into their braiding ceremony. And we absolutely used it for a few portraits. In keeping with this theme and utilizing his talents, Joseph designed a sword hilt to hold Olivia’s bouquet, which she designed herself along with all the other bridal party flowers.

Both Olivia and Joe are readers and lovers of stories, if you hadn’t guessed that already. Their table centerpieces were some of their favorite books with little details from each story. It was such a fun, creative way to add a personal touch to the day.
We started the day at the Frazee family farm for details and portraits, proceeded to Christian Reformed Church for the ceremony and finished the night at Union & Social in downtown St. Joe. https://unionandsocial.com/
