What a joy it is to walk through life with my clients! Your wedding day is a big deal, but when the day is done, your wedding may be over, but your marriage is only just beginning. As I look toward my seven year anniversary, I’m astounded at how quickly the time has gone by. And it’s such a pleasure to help capture some of the sweet moments for my couples. Lets be honest there’s no way to capture them all. Most moments are just for living.
Ethan & Jordan celebrated their wedding two years ago this month, and they planned a sweet little trip with Getaway Asheboro . Their cabin was an adorable one room space complete with a bathroom and kitchenette. And while they were gone by the time I got there, I heard tell there were smores fixings. I was also obsessed with the window offering woodsy views, from a cozy spot in bed. Not to mention this entire location is just minutes away from the North Carolina Zoo. Paul and the girls came along for all the fun and after we finished our photo session, we made an afternoon of it! The Fall vibes were present along with coffee, cards, popcorn, books and a little nod to their wedding venue Oakland Farm.
I would encourage everyone to follow Ethan & Jordan’s lead, not just in choosing me as your professional photographer(I kid) but in prioritizing time with each other doing the things you love. Especially if you’re a little intimidated by professional photography, a casual lifestyle session may be just what you’re looking for. You get to do an activity you love, you don’t have to overthink your smile (if you’re more concerned with winning a card game), and your photographer will take care of the rest.
Please enjoy just a few favorites from their session. I got to exercise some of my creative talents. I may or may not have experimented with the blurry trend. I know it’s controversial on whether or not it’s creative or just lazy. You have to scroll all the way through to see and let me know what you think in the comments. I can take constructive criticism, but don’t be mean. And be inspired to take your own trip! I know I was. I see you seven years. . .
And if you do take a trip, and if you decide you want photos inquire here. I really would love to join you!
