Michaela and Austin’s wedding was so much fun! I met Michaela a few years ago now, on a school trip. We didn’t go to school together, but she was one of my father’s students. He’s a highschool science teacher. In the summer of 2014, he planned a school trip to EAA Airventure in Oshkosh Wisconsin, for a few students interested in attending. At the time I was all for a fun summer trip and I needed material for a summer internship I was enrolled in. I became the trip’s designated photographer. Oh to go from shooting airplane aerobatics to weddings, lol!

Michaela was one of the students on this trip, and we ended up connecting over social media, afterwards. Fast forward to 2019, and I was beyond thrilled, when Michaela reached out to me and asked if I was still available for weddings in MI. She knew I had moved out of state, but she was getting married, and was hoping I could photograph her wedding. How sweet!

I met Austin at their engagement session https://isabelmae.photo/?p=1093 and I could tell right away that they were going to be a delight to work with! From the beginning, they stressed how important it was, to them, that we feel like guests at their wedding. They welcomed both my husband, he would be my second shooter, and me, with open arms to their special day!

Michaela did all of the planning for her wedding. She did an amazing job! The details were so sweet, and the sunflowers were gorgeous! And I could not stop gushing over her dress! It was stunning! Michaela, you were a beautiful bride!

The handsome Groom! The boutonnieres were awesome! They used a shell casing to hold the flowers. Such a great idea for this outdoor wedding!

Pretty sure my husband was a little bit jealous that we didn’t do this with the boutonnieres at our wedding, lol!
