May has always been one of my favorite months. And while it doesn’t hurt that it’s my birth month, I’ve developed a great fondness for the way it’s the gateway to summer here in Michigan. When May arrives you know, that good times are just ahead.

This was certainly the case this past May, when I had the privilege of photographing my cousin Vanessa’s wedding to her high school sweetheart Daniel. You can see it on their faces that this was the day they had both long been waiting for.

Their sheer joy and excitement was contagious and made my job effortless. Please enjoy a few of my favorites from this day that will long be remembered as a day filled with fun, family and delicious food.
