Bridal Detail Entertainment

I’ve been seeing so many creative projects on fb. People are so inventive in finding ways to pass the time and pass it well, while staying home. I decided to try something myself. I wanted to relate it to wedding photography, because this is something I want to stay sharp in. Obviously, my dream would have been to practice on a bride and groom, but because those aren’t readily available, I opted to work on my bridal detail shots.

So, I dug my dress and shoes out of the closet and collected some jewelry and experimented with making the most out of my bedroom space. I had more fun than I was expecting to. I think of photography as a puzzle sometimes. I loved puzzles growing up. But, as photographers, we’re given pieces of the puzzle, light, subjects, setting, colours. . . and we have to figure out the most pleasing way to assemble it. The real fun part is how every photographer can create their own unique final puzzle out of the same or similar pieces.

I hope you enjoy these images of pretty things. I’m going to go brainstorm other ideas to sharpen my skills.
