My husband and I had the pleasure of traveling up to MI last weekend to spend Memorial Day with my family. I am originally from MI and ALL of my family still lives there. It was an incredible weekend of tasty food and fellowship as we enjoyed parties with both my Mom and Dad’s sides of the family.

While there, I of course had to take some photos and it was an absolute privilege to take engagement photos for this gorgeous couple. This is my cousin Alissa. We grew up together and she is like my little sister. While, I had briefly met Steve before, this trip I was able to spend a little more time with them both and it was so fun seeing their love for each other. I am so happy Alissa found such an incredible guy! We fit this beautiful sunrise session in amongst all the festivities on the family farm. It was worth battling the bugs to beat the heat and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the final outcome. This is one my favorite locations to photograph, having grown up here and being able to document these changes in my family’s lives is an honor. Please enjoy a few of my favorites!
