This proposal was so special to capture! Ethan has been friends with my husband Paul for many years. And we loved Jordan as soon as we met her, last year. When Ethan contacted me about helping pull off this surprise proposal, I was thrilled!! This spot out near our home on Falls Lake has been on my list of locations to shoot. And it was the perfect backdrop for this precious moment. Under the guise of me wanting to practice for upcoming sessions, Ethan and Jordan agreed to be my models.

We started with a few preliminary images, to keep up appearances. I wanted to make sure I had my lighting and settings all taken care of before Ethan popped the question.

We did a few walking photos, and I’d told Ethan earlier that once I had them walk away from me I’d tell them to stop, face each other and hold hands and he could take it away!

We took a few more pictures to celebrate the occasion, but not too many because that breeze was sharp! And Ethan had planned a surprise party back at his house that they needed to head to.
